The new Batman movie. You know. The one which happens to have the creep on it, sadly. But, Batman! My two favourite Batmans! Woooo!

I've seen an article making the rounds,asking why there isn't any black players in Argentina's soccer team. It came as a surprise to us, as a country, to learn we are by any stretch of the imagination 'white'. The vast majority of the country is what you would call 'mixed race', and 'negro' (blackie) is a common term we use to call each other. We are, in truth, mostly an 'ambiguously brown' nation. But since we don't neatly fit in the narrow black or white category of most racist people (of any skin colour), there must be something wrong with us. What this is, as always, is a failure to consider your part of the world and its circumstances are not universal. But I don't think that smug navel-gazing will end anytime soon. Or ever.

Yeah, WW 1984 was terrible horrible no good (except for the Linda Carter cameo), but it was no worse than Thor 2, and definitely no worse than Iron Man 2, so the news hold no water in the vein of 'let's prevent more horribleness'. Just, keep Patty Jenkins away from the script and go on.

Carlitos Bala, an icon of Argentina's culture, entertainer of several generaciones of children, so famous his signature bowlcut is named after him on barber shops. We will miss him.

I continue to heart Matt Smith very much, but boy does it suck. And not even in a funny way. I might stick around to see Olivia Cooke, but I will not enjoy it, it seems.

Whoever styled Desire watched Velvet Goldmine recently, yes. I approve.

It was ok. Madds Mikkelsen, though. ❤️❤️❤️ Jude Law was very good too, but I'm certain that if whoever made the casting choices had had the common sense of getting our dear Dr Lecter from the beginning, the second one wouldn't have sucked so bad. Oh well.

It wanted so bad to be Lovecraft Country and pissed out of the pot so thoroughly. It not only did unintentionally poorly in the racial commentary (as did Us, with its coded Mighty Whitey narrative), but effed up the 1992 film. It was better than the original's sequels, of course, but that's not saying much.
